Calcium Shell Feeders are ideal for shrimp keepers, crayfish and crab enthusiasts, snail colonies, and any tropical fish or bottom dwellers that benefit from supplemental calcium and enriched nutrition. A great fit for both freshwater community tanks and dedicated invertebrate setups. How to Feed Start with one shell per feeding and allow it to be fully consumed or cleaned up before adding another. For nano tanks or smaller colonies, consider breaking the shell into smaller pieces to avoid overfeeding. Like any food, excess amounts left uneaten can impact water quality, so always match the portion to the size of your tank and the number of inhabitants. Sizing Each feeder is a generous size, with an average of 10 pieces per 2 ounces or 75 to 80 units per pound.
